1. What is the AI Companion?

The AI Companion is an intelligent digital assistant integrated into Zoom Meetings. It uses generative AI to:

• Automatically summarize meetings.
• Assign action items without manual input.
• Answer real-time questions during a meeting to help you catch up or clarify points.
• Highlight key moments in meeting recordings.

2. Key Features and Benefits

• Meeting Summaries: Save time by letting the AI generate summaries without recording or manual note-taking.
• In-Meeting Questions: Ask questions like, “Catch me up,” or, “What are the action items?” to stay informed.
• Smart Recording: Easily locate key decisions and highlights in your meeting recordings.
• Language Support: Meeting summaries are available in 36 supported languages.

3. How to Use the AI Companion During a Meeting

1. During the Meeting:

   • Open the AI Companion panel from your Zoom toolbar.
   • Use the preset questions, or type your own, such as:
     • “What are the key action items?”
     • “Summarize the last 10 minutes.”

2. After the Meeting:

   • Access the automatically generated summary via your Zoom account under Recordings or Meeting History.
   • Review and edit action items as needed.

A: Zoom does not use any customer audio, video, chat, screen sharing, attachments, or other communications like customer content (such as poll results, whiteboard, and reactions) to train Zoom’s or its third-party artificial intelligence models.
