Are you sure an incorrect password is causing the login issue?
Follow these steps to reset your DCU Password
If you are using a Personal (BYOD) device, ensure your device is connected to eduroam for optimal performance and authentication during the installation and reset process. Select the relevant link below to start.
Staff: Go to http://apps.dcu.ie
Student: Go to http://login.mail.dcu.ie

Step 1
Click on the Forgotten my password option.

Step 2 - Identification
Enter your DCU email address and then the characters in the picture. Complete the security validation by entering the characters displayed in the CAPTCHA picture.

Step 3 - Verification Method
Choose the option to Email my alternative email address and select the Email button.

Step 4 - Retrieve Verification Code
Open your alternative email account to retrieve the code. Look for an email from: Microsoft on behalf of Dublin City University.

Step 5 - Enter Code
Return to the reset window, enter the code that was sent to your alternate email address and select Next.

Step 6 - Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Choose Approve notification on my authenticator app and select Send Notification.

Step 7 - Finalise Authorisation
Open your authenticator app on your mobile device. Enter the 2-digit code displayed on your computer screen and select Yes to authorise the request.

Step 8 - Set New Password
Enter your new password* and re-enter it to confirm. Select the Finish button to complete the process.
*Note: Password Requirements
| The length must be between 14 and 25 characters long. |
| Must include at least one uppercase character (A-Z). |
| Must include at least one lowercase character (a-z). |
| Must include at least one special character (e.g. @, #, $, %, !). |
